THE COMMERCIAL SEXUAL
EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN.
CSEC refers to the recruitment, procurement and/or engagement of a child under the age of 18 for commercial sex acts (prostitution, pornography, "exotic dancing").
Under US Federal Law, a person who has induced a child into a commercial sex act has committed the felony crime of trafficking in persons.
The child, whether a citizen or foreign national, is a victim of sex trafficking regardless of whether there was force, fraud, coercion or transportation.

Kristi House's Commercially Sexually Exploited Children's Project is a program modeled after the success of Girls Educational and Mentoring Services in New York City and is dedicated to raising awareness about the reality of children being bought and sold in the local commercial sex industry; preventing children, especially young girls, from becoming exploited and building community capacity to treat and heal victims.
